Diner by the Sea Chalkboard Menu and Summertime Music
Howdy folks and happy first week of July!
I have been working to the smooth sounds of Bossa Nova a lot lately…it just sounds really cool while the temperature gets hotter and hotter here. Also, when I am standing at my work table, I can dance a little samba while I chalk it up! I love the sound of Portuguese. Very soft and rounded and smooth
My sister, Michelle, and I have been discussing our mutual love for The Drive By Truckers. I can listen to them and get a lot of work done, but I think it’s too hot here right now for me to get that worked up…you don’t really want to get too overheated when working with chalk art!
Speaking of work, we just completed a very fun chalk art board for a great little diner, Diner by the Sea out on the Jersey Shore. They were impacted by Superstorm Sandy last year and it was lovely to be a very, very small part of the re-do. Katerina was so fun to do business with and we laughed often while collaborating in this board. I am sure they will take very good care of you if you stop by their diner.
And by the way, the milkshakes really look like the illustrations on the board! I am not sure if they have a buxom, redheaded waitress working there, but you never know…
