One of our favorite signs to create for customers is the Single Sided Chalkboard Sidewalk Sign. 
The combination of the wood frame and chalkboard makes for a classic chalkboard sign. The style shown in these pictures is the Single Sided Chalkboard Sidewalk Sign. Great for facing customers as they enter your establisment. Next week I’ll be making a 2-sided chalkboard A-frame for a customer in Florida. It will stand on the side walk spreading the news in both directions as potential custmers walk by.
This sign will be going to Aldo’s Bakery in Block Island’s Old Harbor, Rhode Island. One of the most delicious links we have ever added to blog. Be careful.
We use our standard mortise and tennon 
framing with vertical grain west coast fir. This creates a very strong chalkboard A-frame. A galvanized gate hinge and chain make sure they stay standing.
You may notice in these picture the grass that needs mowing. So enough chit chat and off to work my weekend away keeping our little piece of paradise trimed.
