Howdy friends!  Great projects coming out the studio and here is one of our most recent ones…We were asked to make 140 framed promotional convention chalkboards for Inn Ventures, a subsidiary of the Mariott hotel chain. We gave the client several options to choose from:

1.  140 7″ x 9″ framed logo chalkboards with the hand drawn company logo digitally printed from on the board.

2. 140 7″ x 9″ unframed logo chalkboards with hand drawn logo and hand drawn frame. To do this we would create a larger chalkboard, photographed or scanned it and then digitally printed the quantity desired.

3. 140 7″ x 9″ framed logo chalkboards with the company logo added using a clear sticker. The client chose this option and they turned out great. It was also a rush job (which we do quite frequently!).

Here are some images of the Chalk It Up Signs crew hard at work finishing the Promotional Convention Chalkboards.  Dave took charge of this one and framed each board.  We do not out-source our labour!  It all happens in house or on-island.  We believe very strongly in helping our local economy by hiring local artists, woodworkers and yes, we hired our daughter to help put the stickers on the chalkboards while she was watching Ghost Busters.  We are a family run business after all, and yes, we paid her fair wages!  The dog, Rudy, is our official mascot and he gets paid with kibble and snuggles.
